"Stay mobile and strong"

When I found out I had severe cartilage loss and arthritis in both knees  I was extremely discouraged and in alot of pain. I was told that at my age it was important, more then ever to stay mobile and strong.But,I was not motivated.

After meeting Sheri,she shared with me her caring nature and medical knowledge and really motivated me to try her  private pilates session.
It has made an unbelievable difference in my day.

She really makes sure I am  doing the movements correctly, encouraging me all the way and customizes to my personal needs.
Afterward I feel energized and pain free.

"Don't Life Heavy Suitcases"

I am a 72 year old healthy woman who tries to take care of myself. I'm very active and have never had any limitations until recently. In December I did something stupid like lift a too heavy suitcase up the stairs and pulled something in my back. It was Christmas holidays and very busy so I  just dealt with it until I couldn't. Fast forward a month later and it is now my sciatica. I had tried everything I knew to do including a cortisone shot in the hip which only lasted about 48 hours. Very disappointed and upset nothing was working I asked Sheri for help and she suggested the red light therapy at her wellness center. Since I have a cruise coming up in 2 weeks I agreed to try it. First of all I'm extremely claustrophobic so I was very nervous about being able to do it but I was out of options. Now I have been doing it for the past 3 weeks 3 times a week.

At first it was more about my anxiety doing it but turns out it wasn't bad mainly because im in control how far down it goes. That was important for me. Then I started to concentrate on breathing and relaxing so that it would work on my pain. I should have said in the beginning that the  red light therapy has 4 parts. Weight loss,pain,skin,and circulation. My focus is on pain but you get some results from each. In each session, which only lasts 18 minutes I feel the warmth on my muscles which in turn calms me down enough to let it work. I am very hyper. Brain never stops. So I had to practice it. Now I really feel relaxed and the pain level is subsiding with every treatment and I'm only halfway thru. What a blessing this is even now. I feel hopeful that I will get to go on my cruise and not be in pain. I'm so encouraged that Sheri encouraged me to try it. It's pretty new technology so I wouldn't have known about it but I trust Sheri and her knowledge and so happy I did. Can't wait to see how much better I feel at the end of my  treatments.

I learned a very big lesson during this time.
1. Don't lift heavy suitcases at this age
2. I definitely don't want to be in pain. Im not good at not being able to do what I want.
3. Don't be afraid to try something new so that your quality of life is as good as it can be. No regrets here!!!
