"World Training Day" End of Life Caregiving & Support for Families, Communities & EOL Doulas

Death is something we all have in common no matter what culture, religion, or socioeconomic status. The objective of this educational event is to support people everywhere so that the most positive end of life experience can happen when the time comes for the person who is dying and their loved ones. This positive, meaningful experience is a right for all. Knowledge is power, and decreases fear of the unknown and empowers people to make informed choices. When we are able to feel supported and in control, we can live way better lives. This talk is done with the most utmost respect, dignity, care and compassion for human kind.

Sheri Kline, EOL Nurse Doula will be presenting with Suzanne O'Brien RN and others around the world. This is a free event, sponsored by International Doulagivers Foundation indgf.org

We invite you to participate in this event which will be happening April 20th in 20 or more countries.

National Healthcare Decisions Day Zoom

Florida End of Life Association is inviting the public to gather in a free Zoom meeting where we will share information on advance care planning, advance directives and end of life wishes. Along with other national, state and community organizations, Florida End of Life Doula Association is working to highlight the importance of making healthcare decisions before it’s too late.

National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) was founded in 2008 to inspire, educate and empower the public and providers about the importance of advance care planning. Unfortunately, there are many among us who don’t have advance directives. The Florida End of Life Doula Association is dedicated to sharing this important information with our community and encourages active participation.

Without Advance Directives, family members and physicians struggle with making difficult healthcare decisions, especially in a time of crisis. When we discuss our wishes ahead of time with family, friends and healthcare providers and execute written advance directives (healthcare power of attorney and living will), we can have peace of mind that we will be treated the way we want if we are not able to speak for ourselves.
